A Series of Unfortunate Events

Last night was a bit of an adventure, which is the best way to spend you Saturday. It started with the plot to go the movies, we arranged a meeting time and place to ride together. Only at the last minute the driver wanted to back out, with a healthy dose of compliments and some ridiculous comments such as "our hopes have been built as tall as the Tower of Babel, please don't crush them now," we convinced our vehicle owner to drive us.

At the movie I was carded! To which I responded, "Are you serious? I am freakin' 21 years old." The young boy (15 tops) was serious and so I informed he had better card my friend as well, which he did. As an act of revenge on the theater we slipped into a second movie once the first finished.
After a brief stop in a diner it was quite late and we drove back to campus. There is train that runs by our campus and we convinced our driver to race it. We raced it (and were winning) for some distance, until the road curves sharply and crosses the train tracks. We were forced to come to an abrupt stop and too impatient to wait for the train to pass, we decided to back up. We were backing up smoothly until we fell off a slope abruptly and realized we in a ditch just four feet shy of the creek.
With all the rain the slope was ridiculously wet and campus security showed up quickly to inform us that we needed to call a tow truck or we might damage the grass!
It's nice to end the evening with a bang sometimes...
