99 Silver Balloons

I was pondering the fact that many people feel that dresses are always "dressy" and a lot of effort to wear, when they are not! Dresses are often more comfortable and easy than jeans and such a simple piece to throw on. So, where does this almost negative view of dresses come from?
Perhaps it is that when we are young we are forced into dresses (and slips and tights) for formal and special occasions. We don them for church, or special events and are always urged to behave like a lady in them or not to ruin them. After these traumatic childhood experiences is it really any wonder that we might feel they are to fussy for every day?

On a separate note, my friend stole a bunch of balloons from our school cafeteria and she gave me this one--isn't she a doll?

Outfit details: shirt- Banana Republic Outlet, vest- H&M, skirt- secondhand, shoes- Urban Outfitters, balloon- stolen
