Plant Forms

Karl Blossfeldt is a true inspiration. He was self-taught in photography, used his own homemade camera, photographed only plant forms for 35 years and leaves us with some of the most exceptional pictures of plant forms ever seen. What I like most about many of his pieces is the way the plant cease to be plants, they can become simple almost architectural shapes, or are somehow imbued with so much personality they begin to feel almost human in nature.
