I've never been a fan of the "athletic look" as far as fashion goes. I will admit the style is not a literal translation--you do not wear your sweats and "ta da." Exploring style and the different aspects of it masculine/feminine, preppy/punk, and practical/pretty, is admirable and I find usually very visually appealing. Still, the athletic gear influenced fashion is not my speed.
