There seems to be a perenial debate on whether fashion is art that circles through the blogs I read (and I will abstain from throwing my two cents in at the moment), but the question on my mind at the moment is: are books art? A work of fiction can be considered an art form, no? How about the assemblage of a book--binding, print, pages..?
Well, look at UK artist Selina Swayne's floating book sculptures. She describes the creation as: “The concept behind growing edible plants on books was an investigation into the way we absorb information.”
