I've been meaning to draw more in my new sketchbook, but it's hard for me to find inspiration. So, as much as I enjoy the creative process my doodling is quite sporadic. However, a couple of my graffiti photographs sparked some ideas. I took this picture of a graffiti lady that looks rather like Frankenstein's bride. Some of the tagging around her face reminded me of sunglasses and I liked the idea of that juxtaposition and then threw in some of my typical patterns.

A Peek Inside
Closet shots in magazines always look so glamorous...I suppose it is because the wardrobes they choose are gigantic, well-lit, and hyper organized by an army of small minions. My closet is about as neat right now as it will be the entire semester and I suspect the floor of it will soon be littered with random items...

Lucia wanted to know what my "blog space" looks like. Well, when my computer is cooperating and I don't have to go to a computer lab to get online, I tend to blog from bed. I have a desk which I use when writing papers or doing homework, but when I'm just kicking back and browsing the web I pick up my laptop and hop into bed.
Remember when I began this doodle on my laptop and finished it?
I'm Good, I'm Gone
Yesterday as the setting sun cast golden rays across stripped fields covered in a thick layer of snow and ice, my aunt drove me to my college campus. Silence stretched as long as the purple shadows that cast mystery onto the ground, as we transported suitcases and then boxes into the small chamber that is now my abode. I'm waist-deep in more clothes than I know what to do with and yet am lacking some of the necessities (such as a towel...) that make life comfortable. My computer is acting like a spoiled child that will not submit to the will of its mother (me) and so I am in a computer lab typing away and trying to tie up loose ends. There hasn't been any time for pictures as of yet, but I hope to get back into the swing of things soon.
In The Dressing Room
I went to the mall yesterday. The highway we drove on was flooded from the melting snow and recent rainfall. We passed what seemed like ponds where once there were fields. Two lanes of the highway were closed to cars and open for the fishes. The world turns upside down and topsy-turvy and we drive on.

Decidedly Untrendy
While at the mall I picked up this darling star print dress. I suppose star prints have been "in" for awhile and are now on their way "out," but as I have stated numerous times before and will state numerous times again I don't care about following trends or being "in." I'm not a hipster, I am decidedly uncool and if I like something (and I can afford it) I will buy it regardless of where it ranks on the hip scale.
With A Song In My Heart
I came to my parents' house (hardly can be called home since they've only lived there for a year and are already getting ready to move) last night to spend Mothers Day with my parents today. I came bearing gifts, but was surprised to find some waiting for me. Aren't thoughtful people the sweetest in the world?
Color Me Navy Blue
One week ago yesterday I took the plunge. I got my tattoo. Very exciting, no? Here are some pictures of the blessed event (my goodness what bad lighting will do to a person's skin tone...).
