Dirty Thirties

I am slowly working my way forward in time through the fashion plates in the New York Public Library virtual archive and have finally reached the illustrations from the 1930s. This period is inspiring me quite a bit at the moment. I think I'd like to hunt down some vintage silk blouses with exaggerated sleeves and some skirts of a longer length this summer (also, more vintage hats would not go amiss).
