There doesn't seem to be enough words in the English language to describe snow. From moving around every three years, I've never really gotten used to loads of snow. Most places I have lived haven't been cold enough for this kind of weather (think North Carolina and Hawaii). I'm a terrible baby when it comes to the cold...but it's really my own fault since I refuse to dress realistically.

I stumbled across this knit cape at a thrift shop. It's a bit large, but completely darling. There isn't a close up in this set of images, but the buttons remind me of golden crackers.

While most people would prefer to never share, twelve Internet fashion darlings from around the world endeavored to share one Heimstone jacket. The result was not a cat fight as one might suspect, but rather an example of both the globalization and persistence of unique style. The availability of the same garments all over the world might be seen as the death of local culture or individuality, however this exercise (organized by the geniuses of Modepass) illustrates that not all is lost. Although every young woman shared the exact same Heimstone jacket, they each produced different outfits based on their own personal style. The resulting pictures show not only how versatile a jacket can be, but how a different set of eyes sees an entirely different set of possibilities.

I have been borrowing my father's tripod lately. The tripod was bought (along with a 35 mm camera I am also in the habit of using) several years before I was born. It's rather fascinating to use a tool that is older than I am... I do own quite a bit of vintage, but it one thing to muse over the previous owners of a certain dress and another entirely to borrow an item that was purchased by a loved one years before you were a thought.

Nasha has been swept away by seasonal bliss. Between sparkling white grounds coated in a fine crystalline dust and twinkling, colorful lights the world seems transformed into some fairytale vistage of beauty. Being a very young Labbit, this is her first Christmas and her first snow. Although Christmas day is still many days away, putting Nasha to bed every night is a burden. She somehow thinks Santa will sneak by her especially early, so she is on her toes...

Some of my style icons aren't icons for their personal style, but rather costumes and characters they assumed while on screen. A prime example of this is Judy Garland. Honestly, her off-screen persona holds little interest to me, but who is not still captivated by the sparkly, red shoes she wore as Dorothy?

While she stood at only 4'11" she was a powerhouse for her voice and dancing. Perhaps, there is no better showcase for her talent (nor more appropriate film for the season), than "Meet Me in St. Louis." This also happens to be a family favorite in our household.

I'm currently flying home...it wasn't supposed to be so soon, but it has happened regardless. Things are cooling down here in Athens (from my perspective at least), but too little too late, I suppose. We spent far too many days in limbo and the lack of easy communication between students and the powers that be has led to this.
Due to some thoroughly epic layovers I will be traveling home for about 2 1/2 days...
Thank you to everyone who has been thinking of me. If it wasn't for the troubles that these riots have brought to people, I would be thoroughly pleased my time in Greece ended with a bang. It will definitely be a story to tell for some time to come. Also, now I will get to see my family that much sooner. All in all, life is good at the moment.
Different note: I'm always keen on showing how often I repeat pieces...some people are proud of the size of their wardrobe and some people are proud of how far they can stretch things. Today I'm wearing this green dress (very cosy for travel), so I thought I'd share how many ways I have worn it. The dress is H&M
