Dreamscapes

I really admire photographers who generate mesmerizing images only through darkroom techniques. For some reason though, I really enjoy these entirely digitally generated images of real landscapes by Joshua Datu. Some feel like a futuristic dreamscape while others have the discolored mood of vintage photographs and still others look like long exposures of the night sky. In the artist's words, “the ‘Dreamscapes’ came about as an exaggeration of how technology continually re-defines our ideas of truth and reality. I used the web as a sort of artistic medium to portray falsity and deception.”
