Artistic Minimalism

I sometimes feel like a colorful minimalist in my fashion choices. The illustrations of Charley Harper really suit my aesthetic. He manages to capture the essence of his of subjects with very simple, visual choices. Harper himself said he doesn't see "the feathers in the wings" but instead sees shapes, color combinations, patterns, and textures.
I'm also thinking these would make fantastic prints for fabric.

My artistic urges have been rising lately and I now have ink stained hands from a dying pen, but this editorial fills me with the urge to finger paint...preferably on someone. Pictures via foto_decadent.
