Last November Vogue Russia had a deceptively simple editorial featuring these Matryoshka dolls hand painted to resemble the styles of various imminent designers. Considering I have drawn nesting dolls in designer collections myself numerous times, these are some souvenirs I wish could be bought at the tourist traps...

I thought I had lost this harlequin print dress and was quite downtrodden, so you can imagine my excitement when I found it again. Unfortunately, it still needs to be hemmed and the waist also needs to be taken in when I'm feeling less lazy...
These have to be two of the most awesome prints I have ever seen. Why is it that every time I find printed dresses they come in the standard floral/star/check patterns? The brass knuckles dress would also go so smashingly with my brass knuckles necklace...

Something about Matt Tischler's Untitled Screen Series feels like summer...
Rich, saturated colors and anonymous faces intrigue the eye while the screen between us and them makes the viewer feel blocked from truly connecting to the other person beyond the grid. Tischler states, "subjects and figures are therefore broken apart and reconstructed in such a way that they are both integrated into their environment and isolated within it."
