As soon as I return to the States I'm heading up to New York for Fashion Week and I'm quite excited! In addition, to attending (as long as my flight arrives in time!) IFB's Evolving Influence Conference, I'm putting together my own little casual shin-dig: The Renegade Style Blogger Meet-Up. Bring your own cupcake!
Renegade Style Blogger Meet-Up
Meandering Through Montmartre
The other day my sister and I went on a little self-guided walking tour of Montmartre. Translation: my sister guided and I walked. I'm not working on some fantastic Paris guide, because frankly my two weeks experience makes me anything but an expert and there are loads of other bloggers more qualified to do so. I do however, recommend a walk through Monmartre if you have the time. It's a very picturesque neighborhood that still retains some of its bohemian history.
Sunglass Shop Nueu Giveaway
I have had my Nueu aviators from the Sunglass Shop for a couple of weeks now and I'll still very pleased with them. Despite being casually tossed into the bottom of my bag, the mirrored lens haven't been scratched and the shades still stay in place while I tilt my head around to all angles. All of this to say: you can win your own pair of Nueu sunglasses courtesy of the Sunglass Shop.
Simply Passing Through Paris
On the recommendation of many, I visited the Musee D'Orsay and truly enjoyed it. Unfortunately, you'll have to believe me through my descriptions as photography was not permitted there and I decided to not pretend ignorance of the dozens of signs displayed prominently around...After the museum we did some more classic Paris walking along the Seine, through Jardin des Tuileries, and right up to the Arc de Triomphe de l'Etoile. So, just another visually pleasing day in Paris...
Paris Graffiti
One of the best moments on my trip so far was riding the train into Paris and spotting tons of great graffiti in the tunnels. Seeing tagging and more legitimate spray paint designs like that just shatters your illusions of a prim and proper, too cool for you Paris. Somehow, it made me feel more at ease and at home than anything else. Since then I've tried to photograph what I saw so I could do another streetart post like I did for London. Best sighting by far: stencil of director Jean Luc Godard.
Dressing Room Diaries
I haven't really been shopping since I came to Europe. Oh yes, I have wandered into several stores and even gotten as far as the dressing room in some, but so far nothing has tempted me enough to hand over my Euros. Ironically, I would like to find something to buy--I'm quite bored with what I packed and eager to find something cool for NYFW. For whatever reason though, vintage or high street, I can't seem to find anything I really like...so the hunt continues. These were snapped in H&M and if the various styles I tried on is any indication: I have no idea what my style is or what I want.

Friday Fun: Outtakes Take Two
One of my favorite sayings is, "once you've lost your reputation you can truly live." So, obviously I had to dig through my archives to find some more embarrassing outtakes to share with everyone. It's important to note that when photographing yourself, there will always be lots of outtakes and one can not control the wind or occasionally their own face. In a number of these I look as if I'm about to fall, or have just fallen, odds are: that is exactly what happened. I'm quite clumsy and falling over nothing is practically a hobby of mine. I have no explanation for ones in which I appear drunk or high...
