How to rock my preppy shirt?

I'm trying to wear things that I don't usually from my closet. I bought this shirt over a year ago and I don't think I've worn it since I bought it. I remember thinking, "Oh this is classic" and liking the stripes, but it just didn't translate easily into my everyday wardrobe.
